10 MOST UNCOMMON FILIPINO WORDS

Hi there! The name is Canor Kargador one of the bloggers here in “NOSTOS”.

The Filipinos are one of the most prosperous races in terms of culture and natural resources. In ages past, We and our ancestors ventured many uncharted lands…we wrote history. In today’s blog, I created several words that have shaped somehow the history… our history. These are some of the words;

1. BANTITI

-pagpapaliban-liban ng pagsasagawa ng isang gawaing ibinigay sa kanya.

halimbawa: Nagbantiti sa pagbabati ng itlog si Mang Toti.

2. DAGITAB

-Isang bagay na pagnawala tiyak na ika’y magwawala… isang bagay na mahalaga sa komunikasyon at pagcha-charge ng phone in short ito ay Kuryente

halimbawa: Tumataas nanaman ang presyo ng dagitab sa ating bansa.

3. GADYA

-Isang malaking hayop na may apat na paa, Sungay na ivory at trunks. Mula sa Phylum Chordota at may scientific name na “Loxodonta” in short ito ay Elepante

halimbawa:  Napakasayang pagmasdan ng gadya sa karnibal.

4. HALUMIGMIG

– Ito ay isang estado ng isang bagay kung saan ito ay nahaluan ng Oxygen na may watervapor na kasalukuyang namumutawi sa ating Atmosphere in short ito ay masa-masa

halimbawa: Ang panty ni Lottie ay nahalumigmig dahil sa lamig.

5. NANGUNYAPIT

– Ito ay isang aksyon ng paghawak ito ay nangangahulugang Humawak.

halimbawa: Ang pilyong bata ay nangunyapit sa lubid upang huwag mahulog.

6. PAMAYPAY-DAGITAB

– Isang imbensiyon noong taong 1882 ng isang lalaking nagngangalang Schuyler Skaats Wheeler na nakapagpabago ng mundo. Ito ay kawangis ng Elesi ng eroplano at noo’y ginamitan ng makina ng sewing machine upang gumana in short ito ay Bentilador.

halimbawa: Napakasayang kumanta sa harapan ng pamaypay-dagitab

7. RUWEDA

-Isang imbensiyon mula sa unang Mesopotamia na ginamit ng mga sinaunang griyego bilang isang kagamitan upang umandar ang kanilang chariots in short ito ay Gulong.

halimbawa: Nasira ang ruweda ng bisekleta ni Majoy.

8. SANSINUKOB

– Sa wikang banyaga ay Cosmos o Universe isang lugar kung saan umiikot ang lahat ng nilalang in short ito ay ang kalawakan.

halimbawa: Lumabas na reyna ng sansinukob si Gloria Diaz.

9. TALUKTOK

– Ito ang Zenith kumbaga ang pinakamataas na antas o lugar ng isang bagay in short ito ay nangangahulugang Tuktok.

halimbawa: Naglagay sila ng bandila sa taluktok ng Mount Pinatubo.

10. UYAYI

– Isang tawag sa awit ng Ina na ginagamit upang patahanin ang sanggol na iyakin in short ito ay isang lullaby o Paghehele

halimbawa: Sa gabi ay naririnig ng sinuman ang uyayi na kinakanta ni lydia.

THINGS YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE IN YOUR CHILDHOOD LIFE

When i was young I’ve learn many things,when I am outside our house.Many games I remember because of my friend,and that things I remember was the game that me and my friend playing,and that games is the best reason why my childhood life was good and better.Among those game my most favorite game was only two and that is PICK N’JUMP & TOM AND JERRY.That was the game of many people when they are in the childhood life.I will introduce you those game and tell to you how it work.

1.PICK N’ JUMP PICK N’ JUMP is a street game,in this game it compose of 2 or more players.That player will form two group to fight each other,and also if you will make 2 group always remember that it is equally distributed so that the play will be fair.Those group should pick one for the stepper and the picker.The picker is the who will pick to the representative of the other group and then the stepper will be the one who will do to step when the picker won.Here is the legend if the picker pick to the other and he/she uses paper is equal to five step,if the picker uses stone it is equal to ten step,then lastly if the picker uses scissor it is equal to two step.The looser group will pass by between the legs of the winner.

2.TOM AND JERRY TOM AND JERRY is a street game,in this game it can compose of two or more players that player should produce two group ofcourse that group should be equal.Those group should draw their circle far away each other then place a stone inside the circle in the middle.The group will pick one player to hit the stone of the other group and then if the player take out the stone inside the circle ,his member should ran after that.Then go back to their circle to save his member and to be the winner of the game.And then if the player are not able to hit that the hitter will alternate if their stone are not go outside the circle.
